The Denver Center Theatre Company, a division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, is accepting applications for the above internship.

General information regarding the internship:

  • The DCTC offers an opportunity for the intern to gain knowledge of scenic techniques used in thrust, proscenium and in-the-round theaters.
  • The opportunity for the intern to work with nationally recognized scene designers, directors and the professional staff of the Denver Center.
  • The intern will be challenged with finding creative solutions to unconventional design problems using both experimental and traditional techniques. 
  • The DCTC will be producing 10 plays during the 9 month season.

Requirements: Must have background experience in scene painting methods. Must have completed coursework in art and scene painting. A theatre or related degree in theatre is preferred.

The internship dates are August 2010 through April 2011, reports to the Charge Scenic Artist.
